Alaris, a Kodak Alaris subsidiary, has opened an Experience Centre at its regional head office in Dubai.
According to the information management solutions vendor, the Experience Centre has been built for channel partners so that their sales staff can join Alaris to learn about the company's value propositions for different verticals. In addition, the company stated that pre-sales staff can get in-depth knowledge about Alaris' software and solutions setup.
Naji Kazak, general manager, Alaris, said previous experiences have shown that the most powerful way to engage and attract prospective partners and customers is by providing them with a visual demonstration of products and solutions. Kazak added that the name stands for itself, as the Experience Centre opening now allows channel partners and their customers to get hands-on experience on current and future offerings. "Our technology and solution ideas are coming to life through the Experience Centre," he said. "The centre is really a document imaging academy."
Kazak explained that as a 100% channel driven business, partners who provide their own solutions, like document management systems and enterprise content management systems that complement Alaris solutions, can now have their own station in the Experience Centre. "Partners can also utilise the Experience Centre to invite their customers for a tour and show them around the different solutions that can assist them with improved business process efficiency and productivity of their employees," he said.
He pointed out that becauseAlaris is a document imaging specialist vendor that manufactures professional document scanners and develops capture software, visitors to the centre can expect to see solutions on display that combine both hardware and software. "We will be showcasing a range of solutions and use cases including automatic invoice processing, mailroom automation, exam marking, survey count, elections, and many other solutions," he said.
Kazak said Alaris has a long history in document imaging and information capture, having first manufactured a high volume scanner in 1990. "We have made a lot of investments since and we want partners and their customers to see and feel our journey through this initiative," he said.
According to Kazak, the Experience Centre is open to all channel partners and their customers but will be required to book prior to coming in to experice the technology offering. "Through this investment, we want to position ourselves as the ‘go to' vendor for document imaging and information capture solutions with partners and customers," he said. "Since the launch, we have already had partners visiting us with their customers, with everyone having had an extremely positive experience."
