Chinese tech giant Huawei unveiled the first product to use its hotly anticipated and debated operating system—the HarmonyOS—on Saturday at their developers conference. The company announced a smart television under its subsidiary mid-tier brand Honor.
Huawei was blacklisted earlier by Donald Trump, the current president of the USA, amid suspicions of espionage, which the phone-maker has denied. HarmonyOS was announced as an alternative multi-platform operating system for phones and other smart devices should things go south again.
The television will reportedly be available from Thursday across China, according to Huawei's CEO George Zhao.
