Kuwait's Gulf Bank has completed a digitization project to turn 50 million documents into digital records.
The bank deployed document scanning and management solutions to digitize a wide range of records in paper and microfilm formats. The project used Kodak Alaris scanners and software, and includes DocSearch to enable bank staff to retrieve documents.
The project, which was executed by Ashraf & Co Ltd, has dramatically reduced physical storage space, resulting in cost savings, and enables staff to find documents in just a few clicks. The project is part of the bank's digital transformation strategy.
Mohammad Rashed of Ashraf & Co Ltd said: "We are an Alaris Elite partner and are committed to promoting the company's solutions in Kuwait because the company's solutions consistently exceed our expectations and the requirements of our customers. High volume scanners from Alaris provide faster scanning, reliable performance with accurate output and our service team is well trained on operating and maintaining these machines.
"With regard to the Gulf Bank project, the Alaris scanners were running around the clock for scanning millions of documents with not a single breakdown. This is a testament to the world class quality and durability of Alaris products."
Ashraf & Co Ltd has now been signed for a three-year contract to handle daily document scanning requirements.
