Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) CEO and MD Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer met Australian senior trade commissioner and Consul-General to Dubai Gerard Seeber and other senior Australian officials to discuss cooperation between DEWA and specialised Australian companies and organisations working in the energy sector.

Al Tayer said the meeting is an important opportunity to exchange views and expertise. He invited Australian companies and organisations to take part in the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX 2014) which will be held from 14-16 April, 2014.

The meeting discussed DEWA's mega international projects in the energy sector. Seeber briefed Al Tayer on a series of seminars the Consulate General is conducting from 13-16 April in Dubai, Abu Shabi and Doha, to showcase and share experiences of Australia's urban water trends, issues and challenges, specifically water desalination, water re-use and green building and energy efficiency.
